We are just a few days away from Christmas Eve and I'm sure things are hectic at everyone's house. Last minute gift shopping, menu planning, grocery shopping, etc.
I felt like changing it up for breakfast and having a little warm delight. I found this recipe online yesterday and it was my first time making french toast ever! I have to admit that it was super easy to make and it was delicious. Perfect for these cold/rainy mornings we've been having here in San Diego, CA.
You will need:
°6 thick slices bread
°2/3 cup milk
°1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
°1 teaspoon vanilla extract
°salt to taste
°maple syrup (optional)
1. Beat together egg, milk, salt, cinnamon and vanilla extract in a medium bowl
2. Heat a lightly buttered small frying pan over medium-high flame.
3. Dunk each slice of bread in the egg mixture, soaking both sides. Place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden. Serve hot with butter and maple syrup.
