Puerto Vallarta I Heart You...

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, has a very special place in my heart. My family used to own a condo down there for around 20 years, so as a kid I spent every easter break or summer vacation there with family and later on with friends. My fiancé is from there and most of his relatives live there.

We got engaged on a Tuesday and that weekend we were in Vallarta. We had already planned that getaway weekend way in advance, so it was perfect for the occasion.

Let me share some pics of that relaxing and happy weekend.

Dream come true! Now if I could only get to release turtles at the beach.

La Leche Restaurant, a favorite of mine.

This is the old condo we used to have, such good memories.

Acapulco Bachelorette...

One of my best friends is getting married this June and we just got back a couple of days ago from her bachelorette trip to Acapulco with ten close friends. It was soooo much fun and relaxing, a true vacation. Enjoy the pics! Wish I was there...

Mexico City: Part II...

Teotihuacan Pyramids
Agave plant has many functions. Agave Nectar.

It has seven layers, as shown above. Out of their "branches" they get paper, soap, thread and needle.

They use flowers to color their thread

Mexico City: Part I...

Remember my post about me leaving on vacation to Mexico City,
well here is the day One of my trip with my beau.

Chapultepec Castle
Beautiful, full of art and architecture. A must visit when in Mexico City,
full of history.

Outside the castle...

Sadly this is not fog, but smog.
Funny story. As we were leaving the Chapultepec Castle, I bought a bag of Cheetos with hot sauce. We are pleasantly walking towards the exit, as we notice a curious squirrel following us. Soon enough we stop and she gets close to me, standing up and staring begging for Cheetos. So I give her a small Cheeto with hot sauce and she didn't touch it. I give her another one without hot sauce and we got a winner. Soon I am feeding this friendly squirrel in the mouth with Cheetos, and she/he does not mind it at all. Enjoy the 1 min video.

Anthropology Museum
After the Castle we walked toward the Museum, just a couple of blocks away and just in time because as soon as we walked in, it started to rain.
